About This Spot

Stepping into Cafe 700 feels like discovering a quietly dependable spot tucked away in the brisk rhythm of Portland’s Lloyd District. The pace here is unhurried but attentive, where the hum of morning conversations blends with the inviting aroma of fresh coffee drifting out to the street. It’s the kind of place that draws locals looking for a straightforward pause—whether that’s a quick breakfast on the go or a calm moment to savor a cup and a simple meal before the day unfolds.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and purposeful, welcoming people who appreciate honest, no-frills comfort without fuss. This isn’t about intricate plating or trend-driven fare; instead, it’s where well-made classics meet thoughtful value. Here, breakfast burritos come wrapped in familiar warmth, sandwiches hold a satisfying sturdiness, and the coffee feels like a small, steady companion to each bite. Tables are scattered with ease, inviting those who want to linger a little longer without pressure.

Cafe 700’s charm quietly reveals itself in its approachable menu and the genuine interactions with the staff behind the counter. Patrons often settle in with a modest breakfast bagel or tuck into a hearty chicken dish that speaks to homey flavors without pretense. Prices remain refreshingly reasonable, which only adds to the feeling that this place is more about creating a comfortable, everyday refuge than chasing culinary trendiness.

What resonates most is the sense of a spot found through routine and happenstance—whether it’s a neighbor grabbing a midday meal or someone new wandering in drawn by the inviting smells drifting down NE Multnomah. It’s a modest, grounding presence on the block where simplicity and sincerity come together, quietly appreciated by those who pass through.

It is a nice little coffee shop that serves some breakfast items and some non-food items. The price are really good.

They sell a good selection of items and beverages. A breakfast bagel and a 16oz coffee was less than 10 bucks. I had no trouble finding the Cafe and the smell from the street was so good omg

Started eating here because I happen to work in the same building, but lo and behold the food is really good! Some of the best chicken teriyaki that I’ve had in town and for half the price that you’d get it at most places! The breakfast sandwiches are also good, nothing too special, but solid for an insanely cheap price! Great place for when I don’t have time to eat breakfast or don’t bring a lunch. Can’t recommend enough!

Exceptional tasty and filling breakfast burrito at a really nice price coupled with a great cup of coffee. The staff is nice and efficient. There are also tables to enjoy your coffee or meal at.

the main reason I came was because it was the one place to eat in the area that wasn't expensive, you can get a filling meal for under 15 bucks which is rare, foods good too I had the best onion rings I've had in a long time here and the burger I got wasn't anything to write home about but it definitely wasn't bad, and it was pretty satisfying. the service was fast and they were very nice, and it's in a convenient location close to a max station and the lloyd center so overall a great option

Amazing service. Perfect coffee. I always get a double shot dirty chai with vanilla surp. Anybother place I have gotten this order I have to add suger to get rid of the bitter taste. But i never have to add any. Even my triple shot today and still perfect. And the price is fair. 5.80 for a larg triple shot dirty chi with vanilla. I have had the food and it's soo good. The owners are wonderfull.

Delicious breakfast burrito and mocha espresso for a very affordable price! Staff were nice. There is a small seating area inside and a few small tables outside as well.
